Why Choose Morning Star Preschool
Morning Star Preschool is a bilingual English/Mandarin child care centre offering a warm and welcoming home-like environment for children aged up to 5 years old.
We encourage children to learn through play, to develop a set of skills, social skills, creativity, hand-eye coordination, problem solving and imagination.
Our brightly painted bungalow has a home-like feel to it, where children feel safe and secure. We have a maximum of 35 three to five years old children and 5 under twos, so you child will receive individual care and attention.
We have a ratio of 1 teacher to 6 children aged over 2 years old, and 1 teacher to 3 children for the under 2s. Our teachers are all friendly and caring, and 80% of our teachers have Early Childhood Education qualifications.
Our bungalow is surrounded by play equipment and gardens, including an edible garden, where children experience the thrill of growing their own herbs and vegetables.
Stimulating Learning Environment
Our baby room offers a nurturing and supportive atmosphere where babies can crawl, walk and play. In our cozy and secure environment area, they can actively use their senses to touch, taste, smell, hear and see. Through the constant care and support from our qualified staff, babies are allowed to develop and progress at their own pace and grow in confidence.
Preschool children love to learn. At Morning Star Preschool we provide a fun, stimulating learning environment, where children learn at their own pace. We have a wide range of educational resources available, including reading material in both English and Mandarin, so children can learn to read and write Chinese characters and numbers. We also have visits from members of the local community, such as police officers and firemen, which always causes great excitement among the children.
Parental Involvement Welcomed
We encourage parents to be involved in their child’s experiences at Morning Star Preschool. We send home regular reports and parents are invited to talk to the teachers if they have any concerns or want more information.
To help your child settle in to Morning Star Preschool, parents are invited to attend 3 sessions along with their child so you both become familiar with the centre and there is a smooth transition for both the child and the parent.
With your input we put in place a personalised care strategy to ensure your child’s individual needs are taken into account, his or her likes and dislikes and any special interests.
